Fall Sports Dead Period
Pre-season Conditioning (All practices are mandatory)
Standard Practice Schedule (All practices are mandatory)
Punctuality / Absenteeism
Although parents may be responsible for driving players to games, players are accountable for arriving on time to games and practices (Coaches will make every effort to be reasonable regarding away game/tournament tardiness).
Exceptions will be made for exigent circumstances to be approved by the coaching staff. We believe that School and grades always come first. However, extra-curricular activities such as water polo are an earned privilege, not a right. If a player is continually missing practice to finish projects and complete homework, then maybe water polo is a distraction to the player’s academics. In such situations, coaches will have a discussion with player and parents to identify a proper plan/course of action.
A player that is continuously late is a distraction to the team. Potential actions will be discussed amongst the staff prior to any change in player status.
Any player that feels they may be late to a practice or game shall notify a member of the coaching staff as soon as practical. With minor exception(s), players should not ask team mates to inform the coaches where they are, or why they’re late.
Players that miss a practice or game for any reason shall notify, when possible, a member of the coaching staff prior to the date in question. The validity of the absence shall be evaluated by the coaching staff. It is the coaching staff's intent to be reasonable and accommodating. Decisions will be based on the best interest of the team.
